Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager. This role has been created recently, the person who is hired is able to make the job their own.
Historically, Account Managers have done new business sales but they feel they need a “hunter” to join them who seeks out new business and then hands over to the Account Management team.
Primarily leads will be self generated. Our client is an established business (T/O £100 Million +) and have a sales team so some leads will come through this channel as well.
The organisation has massive growth plans, currently sitting around 1,000 people but looking to grow to 3,000 though acquisition and sales growth. Therefore, there is opportunity for personal growth for the person who joins them.
Based anywhere in Scotland and will be working from home unless the client requests face to face meetings. You will have full autonomy over diary to arrange meetings. Also, will need to cover some northern areas that border Scotland.
Salary has a base and and an uncapped OTE.
Skills and Knowledge
- 5 plus years in B2B sales/business development role selling services/solutions
- Proven track record in new business sales and lead generation
- Strong will to succeed and high energy
- Consultative manner; will need to engage with Finance, Procurement, MD’s etc
- Strong communication skills
