Change Analyst

Our client, a specialist in Customer Communications such as Print and Mail are recruiting for a Change Analyst to join their friendly team.

This role sits within the Change Management function of the Technology business area.

The Change Analyst is front and centre of the Change Delivery and Release lifecycle, responsible for delivery of changes in line with customer requirements, on time in accordance with contractual obligations & service levels, ensuring a quality delivery in line with financial budgets and with an exceptional service focus. On a day to day basis this will involve liaising between external clients, Change Relationship Managers/delivery functions/Account Management and Operational teams to; take receipt of Change Requests; ensure requirements are understood and translated into technical deliverables; impact assess and produce accurate estimates of effort/quotes to deliver the change; plan work tasks and schedule resources across virtual teams; manage timely delivery including mitigation of risks, planning, preparation and scheduling of change releases into the production environment and ensure successful release implementation of the Change to the required quality standards.

Essential skills & experience:

  • You will have worked in a client facing change role in your career so far and be confident working with Bank Managers to Head of IT.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ideally some experience within Banking, Insurance or Telecoms.
  • MUST have at least 2 years minimum working in Change management focused role in a Technology orientated organisation.
  • You can have either an IT or Business Change experience.
  • Exceptional organisational and workload management skills.
  • Translate customer/business requirements into functional & technical documentation in line with agreed documentation standards.
  • Validate & approve documentation provided by the delivery teams.
  • Plan, direct, inform & govern the workload of the delivery teams across application development, testing and release management both onshore and offshore.
  • Experience of implementing process and change successfully.
  • Manage the delivery of supporting documentation for invoicing and collaborate with finance to ensure changes are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Experience of using and implementing Change Management toolsets.
  • Practical experience of release techniques, methodologies, and tools.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Produce Deployment and Implementation Plans.

Desirable Skills:

  • ITIL accredited.
  • PRINCE 2.
  • Experience managing the workload of remotely located/offshore teams.
  • Experience of using Jira.

Location: It will be home base (they use Teams for most meetings). This role may require additional hours work outside business hours from time to time and occasional travel.
