Our client, an asset management firm, is looking for an experienced copywriter to work with their award-winning London-based global corporate communications team.

This role would suit someone with experience of bringing business information to life, humanising corporate content and turning dry detail into engaging stories.

They want someone who will support the team and ensure that internal and leadership communications are delivered effectively to support strategic, key business and employee engagement objectives.

You will be positive with a can-do attitude and enjoy working with a wide variety of people at all levels of seniority around the firm.

Your level of enthusiasm and appetite to learn and find new solutions, as well as your written skills and flair for design, will see you flourish in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Writing and editing copy
  • Plan and structure ideas for corporate content, eg reports, articles and case studies
  • Create engaging, humanising copy for corporate reports and digital content on variety of topics, based on different sources
  • Build stories, letters and case studies based on basic input
  • Edit content from other sources including subject experts to apply the firm’s tone of voice and editorial style
  • Simplify complex content into concise and easy to understand narratives which link back to the corporate strategy
  • Interviewing and researching; talk to stakeholders across the company to source ideas and background information for report content
  • Interrogate data and other reports to find relevant details and information
  • Engage with designers and creatives so that they can prepare graphics and visual representations of content to support your written words

We are looking for someone with:

  • Top notch writing and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships at different levels of seniority
  • Experience adopting different style guides and tone of voice, depending on audience
  • Ability to extract concise key messages from a large volume of content
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexible and able to turn skills to new topics and quickly become familiar with any subject matter
  • Creative and willing to bring ideas to the table
  • Practical, hands-on and willing to ‘own’ all aspects of your work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately on any content

Knowledge and experience that would be an advantage

  • Experience and knowledge of corporate reporting requirements
  • Knowledge, interest and familiarity with financial services, ideally investment management
  • Editorial or journalistic background
