IT Systems Analyst

We're looking for an IT Systems Analyst to join a leading provider of business services and workplace solutions on a permanent basis.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate current IT systems and services
  • Identify system requirements
  • Map and document interfaces between existing legacy and new systems
  • Review and identify options, creating solutions that fit the business from a technical and commercial perspective
  • Conduct requirements analysis workshops
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders and external partners and service providers
  • Translate non-technical requirements into highly technical specifications
  • Create High-level design documents (HLD’s)
  • Develop, analyse, prioritise, and organise requirement specifications, data mapping and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure the technical viability of solutions
  • Create and execute test plans based on business process to ensure rigorous testing before rolling out live systems
  • Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate competencies and experience in the following areas:

  • Proven experience as a system analyst and ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A methodical approach and attention to detail to ensure the development and implementation of effective solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding and experience of Software Development life cycle processes and methodologies
  • Good business acumen and commercial awareness with a solid understanding of how organisational processes work
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities and work to deadlines
  • Experience working on complex Business Change/Improvement, Strategic, BAU and I.T service transition projects

Desired skills

  • Experience/exposure with MS SQL Server, Visual Studio, TFS (Team Foundation Server)
  • Azure DevOps and CI/CD frameworks, BDD (Behavioural Driven Design) Automated Build / Automated Release, API integrations (REST / SOAP) are desirable
