Quality Assurance Test Engineer

Our client, the next generation in secure, fair and social ticketing is looking for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join them on a Permanent basis in their Amsterdam office.

As the Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you will be a part of our development team working together to build the next generation of ticketing: modern, scalable, and user friendly.

You will be self-motivated, with the drive to deliver the best experience for users across mobile/desktop and the passion for continuous improvement.

You will be experienced in working within a fast paced, agile environment and comfortable programming solo as well as co-developing, with a strong knowledge in design, interaction, accessibility, and performance.

Technical skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of software QA testing
  • Experience in a test or development role as part of a product development organisation which has delivered consumer-oriented products
  • Demonstrated experience in testing methodologies, experience with standard QA and development tools
  • Software QA automation experience working with one or more of the following technologies: PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript
  • Demonstrated experience creating status reports based on automation results
  • Experienced in interacting and coordinating test activities amongst multiple teams

Key skills required:

  • Define a test methodology across different products. Analyse device system performance vs. expected results
  • Develop quality validation and test plans for consumer electronic device experience from proof-of-concept to mass production.
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metrics
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment, in close contact with development and business teams to understand business requirements and to communicate problem impacts, cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.

This is a permanent role, working in a modern workspace in a vibrant and exciting part of Amsterdam Centraal Station area with the flexibility to mix office hours with some optional work-from-home days.
